Still completely amazed as to what had happened back in Chinatown, Marcilynn was walking towards the pier. She was hoping to escape the world, all thoughts, and herself, though that did seem to be an extremely hard thing to do usually.
Marcilynn came up to the pier, and walked across the planks towards the end, each step creaking on the old wood; a sound that probably would have freaked her out any other day. She sat down at the end of the pier staring off into the horizon, no real thoughts composed in her head. The sun was now setting beautifully, what seemed to be quite close, somehow bringing back memories of the past. Memories of failure and disownment, those thoughts of being kicked out of her old school flooded her mind; the exact thoughts she had hoped would never haunt her again.
When Marcilynn applied here she was hoping for change, acceptance, and accomplishment; now, however, it seemed as though nothing was going right. Marcilynn was always lonely, no one seemed to want to be around her, unless it was to make out or have a one night stand. Up until now she hadn't minded, however tonight those feelings she felt back in the restaurant made her think differently. Marcilynn realized how much she really did want a serious relationship, serious friends, and true accomplishment. She wanted to someday be able to look back and be proud of how her life was back in the day; Marcilynn wanted a change.
At that moment Marcilynn completely fell apart, tears started streaming down her face, ruining the beautiful image of the sunset in the distance. Fogging up her mind and making her feel even worse. She really needed someone to talk to, however she knew of no one who would listen that wasn't out partying or hooking up with someone. It was times like these when she wished that she hadn't screwed around with her life so much, leaving her in a state such as she was now. These thoughts were leaving her in a state of despair, a state which caused her depression and sorrow in the past.
Unable to stop crying, and unable to clear her thoughts, Marcilynn laid back on the pier, not caring who was there and who was seeing her cry. She hoped that as long as she just let herself cry all would be okay, happiness would return and she would once again feel as though she truly had a place in this world…
