Avenue was skipping English class. Plain and simple. She didn't like the older lady who taught like they were set back in the 1970's, so Avenue had come to the backstage of the Auditorium. She figured if she was on the actual stage when an admnistrator walked in, she'd be in more trouble then behind. Or, she wouldn't be caught. Hopefully, it was the second.
Avenue had her camera on a cord around her neck as she ventured slowly backstage, searching around for somewhere to take pictures, to build her portfolio. She was the only model she knew that actually had a camera of her own, but it came to good use. Avenue had yet to find a good photograper to do her portfolio for her, so she stuck to doing it herself, knowing exactly what she wanted, and knowing she could do it herself.
Find a corner, next to a door and a few fake curtains, Avenue set up her camera on a table, setting it to auto-shot as she took a few pictures, practicing her smiles, her eyes, her body shapes, everything. She was good at what she did, and she knew it. Even the camera knew it as it took picture after picture on auto-shot. Stopping for a moment, Avenue picked up the camera to look at the pictures so far. Anyone walking into the auditorium couldn't hear or see her, but could hear the clicking of buttons on her camera.

Alexander Kevin Bearings. That was the kid's name. The kid that was walking fiercely down the hallway. He didn't want to be caught skipping class, but he might if he didn't hurry. He looked around and smiled. there was no one around. He approached the door to the auditorium and walked in, taking one last glance behind him. He smiled and set his bag down. He would hang out here until his math class was over.
He hated math. It was his worst subject, and it was killing him. He rolled his eyes as he thought about this, and pulled out his camera. he was, indeed, a photographer. He looked around quietly for something to photograph. He didn't see anything in the area that he was standing in. He sighed. Why did I come to the auditorium? It's the worst place to take pictures... there isn't anything to take pictures of! He pinched his nose with his fingers. I got to choose a better place next time. He thought as he looked around.
And then a faint clicking sound reached his ears. He was sitting close to the stage, and had to strain his ears to hear it, but it was definitely there. He knew the sound. It was the sound of someone clicking buttons on their camera. He smiled and wondered who could be skipping class also. He got up and started walking backstage.
He smiled as the sound got closer and became louder, though he still had to strain his ears to hear it. He held his breath and walked on his toes, not wanting the other person to hear him. He walked in the shadows, being the shadows. He blended perfectly with them, even though he had light skin. It had darkened over the summer, but it was still pretty light.
He reached a corner, and looked around it to see a beautiful girl standing there looking through pictures. He smiled and rounded the corner. "You know, you can get in trouble for skipping class." There was a slight chuckle to his voice as he spoke. He might have been nervous, but he didn't know.
He lifted his camera and took a picture of her. He looked down at it, and his jaw dropped. His breath caught in his throat. She was absolutely beautiful. Her dark hair fell gently around her shoulders, outlining her face. Her lips were full, and her eyes were dark. He looked up at the girl, and then back down at the picture. Who knew that when given the right thing to photograph, he could be so good?
He looked up at the girl and smiled gently, still a little dazed,"Um... hi. I'm Alexander Bearings. You can call me Alex, though. Everyone does. I'm a junior. Photographer. May I know who you are? I don't think we've met." Character Alexander Kevin Bearings

Busy flipping through the last few pictures, of course Avenue hadn't heard the door open, or even it close. Or even the boy stepping behind her. She did, however, jump slightly, as someone told her she could get in trouble for skipping class. As she looked up, she found herself relieved to know it wasn't a pesky admnistrator, or teacher. She let the breath she'd been holding out, and offered a light smile. "Yeah, I think you'd know all about that." Afterall, the boy was skipping just as well as she was. Lunch wasn't this period, and he obviously attended Manhattan. So, two skippers alone in the auditorium.
The boy was cute, and as he snapped her picture, she kept her face the same, a light smirk playing on her face with her eyes gentle and downcast. It was her signature mark, something she knew looked good in her photographs. "My name is Avenue...er, I'm a junior too. I model. Guess we make quite a team, huh?" She was flirting, and Ave had no problem admitting it. Besides, maybe she'd get a win out of this. A photographer, sex, or maybe even both. Who knew? Avenue wasn't sure if the boy was like her-sort of into all the sex and partying. But if he wasn't, she'd keep her nice attitude on. Ave was a nice, adorable girl when no one knew her at night, and she liked it that way.
"Can I see?" The girl asked politely, letting her camera down on the table before pointing to his own camera, talking about the picture. Running a hand through her hair smoothly, Ave wandered to the boy's side, happily resting one hand on his shoulder lightly before leaning over his shoulder a bit, waiting to see the picture she knew was of her on the camera. She was close to him, closer than she should have been after just meeting him. But, Avenue didn't mind one bit, and in her dead-set mind, for some reason, figured he didn't mind either.

Alexander laughed a little at her comment. He looked at her and said,"Yeah I guess so." He smiled and shook his head, looking back down at his camera. He knew that she knew he was skipping. He was in the auditorium just hanging out. He smiled a little, thinking about how much trouble they would be in if the administrator found them here.
Avenue. He repeated her name in his mind, wanting to remember it and her forever. She was the same age as her... unless she had been held back a year. He smiled,"Yeah we do... unless, of course, you hate my pictures. Beautiful name by the way. It suits you." He was going to add "a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" but decided it was best if he didn't. This girl was perfect for him to photograph, but would she let him? Even if she didn't, she would still be the first on his party list.
She broke through his thought with her beautiful voice. He looked at her and replied,"Um... sure." He was a little afraid that she wouldn't like the picture. He wanted her to like it. She was now at his side, and he knew that he had to show it to her. She placed her hand on his shoulder. Though he knew that she was closer to him than she should have been when they had only just met, he didn't mind at all. He pulled the picture up on his camera and sighed.
He positioned the camera so that she could see from where she was at his side. He smiled and looked at her, wondering if she liked it or not. His mind told him that she would hate it, but somewhere deep within, he was told she would love it. Wouldn't it just brighten his day if she did love it?

Peering over his shoulder at the picture, Ave couldn't help but give a slight smile. She could find every fault with herself in the picture, but the actual photograph was beautiful, and even though she'd just been standing there, it did make her look vibrant even at her normal state. "I like it." Avenue murmured, her hand falling off his shoulder lightly as shemoved away from him a little, her mind in thought. She didn't want to ask him straight out...but hey. There was never a better chance to do anything, and in this time, Avenue did need a photographer. Alex was good, good enough to make her look good in her pictures. "You're good, know that?" she complimented him with a grin, her fingers brushing by her bangs gently.
"I actually...kind of need a photographer." she admitted with a sheepish smile, shrugging slightly as she looked at him before to the ground. "I only have a few really good shots in my portfolio...and well, I was wondering if you'd like to help me finish my portfolio? I usually do my own pictures..but I know nothing about photography, in the least." Avenue gave a laugh, shrugging again as she looked back up to him, curious as to what his answer would be. If he said yes, that would be good for two reasons: she'd get to flirt a lot more, plus she'd have more professional shots next time she applied for a job. If he said no...well, Avenue wasn't going to think about it. The picture had been so nearly amazing, that he had to say yes.
"I can pay you...or something." Avenue offered. She didn't make much-clue as to why she was living in the Livington Close apartments. However, when she did get paid from a shoot, she made enough that she'd have him covered and some extra. Cash, or something else she figured would be on his mind sooner or later. "What'dya say? I mean...we could do it now, since we're not doing anything."

He smiled as Avenue said that she liked it. "I'm glad you like it." He looked at her and smiled gently. He looked down at the the camera again. Her compliment startled him a little. He hadn't expected her to tell him he was good. He hadn't even expected her to like the picture. He brightened up a bit. He was really going to like this girl.
He nodded and listened to her quietly. His first words made him know where she was going with this. Of course she would want him to be her photographer if she didn't have one and she thought his photos were good. And the fact that she said those words after she just said that she liked his pictures. All of it really led up to the same thing, and that was that she wanted... well really needed a photographer.
He was going to stop her, and tell her that he would do it for her- it would, after all, let him spend more time with her, give him something to do when he was bored, and maybe even get him some sex- but she just kept going. At the mention of money, he lost interest. Most guys would love money, but he had way to much. He lived in the richest neighborhood, and had so much money that they didn't know what to do with it. He usually got a car like every two months. That was nice, but it was so stupid. His family just had way too much money and that was that.
He shook his head and smiled at her. "Keep your money. You probably need it more than I do. Not that you're poor or anything. It's nothing like that. Francally it has nothing to do with you. It's just that I have way too much money as it is. I don't need any more. So kepp it." His smile was gentle, as was his voice. He didn't mean to hurt her feelings, if he had. He just wasn't good when it came to words. He often stumbled along with his sentences when talking to a girl he liked, and she would end up leaving him for someone else. He hoped that if himself and Avenue got into a serious relationship, that she wouldn't leave him like the rest of them had.
He shook his head to clear his mind. "Yeah we could do it now if you want. It doesn't matter to me." He spoke softly, but loud enough for her to hear him. He was looking down at his camera, bringing up the camera option. When he had it up, he knelt down, and brought his camera up in front of his face, getting Avenue in the center of it. He waited for her to pose before he took the picture. This picture came up on the screen, and he examined it once, then raised it again, centering her, and waiting.
